Romania is set to see a steady rise in propylene imports and exports over the next five years. In 2021, imports reached nearly 31 million kilograms, up 1.3% from the previous year. Romania ranks 22nd in the world. Spain is the largest importer, followed by Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Exports are also set to increase, reaching 79 million kilograms in 2026. This is a 3.4% year-on-year growth rate since 1998. Romania ranks 19th in the world with Ukraine in the lead. Japan, the Netherlands and the United States follow in that order.
