Iran's propylene import is set to reach 6,500 metric tons by 2026, growing 1.1% annually. This is compared to 5,990 metric tons in 2021. Since 2015, Iranian demand has decreased by 20.1%. The country ranked 56th in 2021, with Guatemala coming in ahead at 5,990 metric tons. Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands ranked second, third and fourth respectively in this ranking. In 2017, Iran's propylene export was 41,360 metric tons, up from 26,000 metric tons in 2016, for an increase of 59.1% year-on-year.
