Iranian ABS export is on the rise. It is expected to reach 21.9 million kilograms by 2026, up from 17.4 million kilograms in 2021. This translates to an average year-on-year growth rate of 3.6%. Since 2005, Iranian supply has increased by a staggering 26.5% on an annual basis. In 2021, Iran was in 16th place, overtaken by Singapore, which supplied 17.4 million kilograms. Belgium, Malaysia and the Netherlands ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. On the other hand, Iranian ABS import is set to decrease to 4.7 million kilograms by 2026, from 7.4 million kilograms in 2021. This corresponds to a 7.8% year-on-year CAGR. Since 2002, demand for ABS in Iran has decreased by 9.2% annually. In 2021, the country was in 36th place, overtaken by Australia which supplied 7.4 million kilograms. Germany, the USA and Thailand were placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
