Malaysia’s ABS exports are projected to reach around 302 million kilograms in 2026, up 1.6% annually from 270 million in 2021. The country’s supply has increased by 5.5% each year since 1994. Malaysia was the third-largest exporter in 2021, after Belgium (269 million kilograms) and the Netherlands (fourth-ranked). Meanwhile, Malaysian imports of ABS are expected to reach 96 million kilograms in 2026, growing 1.9% annually from 85 million in 2021. Malaysian demand has grown 14.9% each year since 1994. Indonesia was the eighth-largest importer in 2021 (85 million kilograms), followed by Germany, the United States and Thailand.
