Imports, which currently stand at $740.3 million, are forecast to drop by 25.5% between 2021 and 2026. In comparison, exports are estimated to grow by 3.3%, from $121.5 million in 2021 to $148.4 million in 2026. Since 1996, American demand for ammonia has decreased by 14.1% year on year. In 2021, the US was the 11th largest importer of ammonia, behind Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Indonesia.
