Chinese styrene exports are expected to drop by 2.4% in the next five years, from 15.9 million kilograms in 2021 to 14 million kilograms in 2026. This will mark a 205.9% increase from 1997. In 2021, Thailand was the leader in styrene exports, followed by the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. Meanwhile, Chinese styrene imports are expected to grow by 0.5% per year, from 3.3 billion kilograms in 2021 to 3.5 billion kilograms in 2026. This marks a 1.1% decrease since 1997. South Korea, India and Mexico topped the imports ranking in 2021.
