Portugal's Styrene import is set to drop slightly over the next five years, falling by 0.6% a year on average. This follows a trend that has seen demand decline by 0.9% per year since 1993. Tunisia had the highest import level in 2021, at 4.8 million kilograms, followed by South Korea, India and Mexico. In 2018, Portugal's Styrene export was 2.6 million kilograms, a 56.7% increase from 2017. This was part of a steady growth since 1994, when the country exported 1.6 million kilograms. Slovakia was the leading exporter in 2018, with the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and South Korea also in the top four.
