The US overtook the Netherlands in 2021 to become the top exporting nation, with 1.7 billion kilograms. Saudi Arabia, South Korea and the Netherlands followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Dutch imports of styrene are forecast to reach 168 million kilograms by 2026, a decrease of 4.1% year-on-year since 1997. France was the leading importing nation in 2021, with 212 million kilograms. South Korea, India and Mexico followed in second, third and fourth respectively.
