Slovak exports of styrene fell sharply in 2021, down 39.2% compared to the previous year to 1,590 kilograms. This marks a 43.9% decrease since 2004. Denmark was the top exporter, at 1,590 kilograms, followed by the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. Meanwhile, imports of styrene into Slovakia are expected to reach 2.1 million kilograms by 2026, up 2.2% on average year on year from 1.8 million kilograms in 2021. Since 1999, imports have decreased by 1.3% year on year. Bolivia was the largest importer in 2021 at 1.8 million kilograms, followed by South Korea, India and Mexico.
