Serbian styrene import is set to reach almost 9.1 million kilograms by 2026, growing at an average rate of 1.8% year on year. This is a marked increase compared to the 3.7% year on year demand growth since 2010. In 2021, Serbia took the 33rd position in this ranking, lagging behind Japan in first place with 8.0 million kilograms. South Korea, India and Mexico respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Serbian styrene export reached 142 kilograms in 2018, a 46.4% increase from the 97 kilograms exported in 2017. Since 2011, supply increased by 16.6% year on year. Last year, Serbia ranked 52nd in this ranking, with Morocco taking the lead with 142 kilograms. The Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and South Korea respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
