Since the turn of the millennium, the nation's demand for juice has increased steadily by about 2.5% each year. On the export front, Zambia's juice industry has faced significant challenges. In 2018, juice exports plummeted to roughly $479,000, a steep decline from the $706,000 recorded in 2017. This represents a decrease of 32.2% compared to the previous year. Over the long term, since 2000, the country's juice supply for export has dropped by an average of 31.9% annually.
