Brunei's juice import expenditure saw a significant decline in 2023, dropping to approximately $1.5 million. This marks a 16.1% decrease from the previous year, when the nation spent around $1.8 million on juice imports. The downward trend in juice demand is not new for Brunei. Since 1997, the country's appetite for imported juice has diminished by an average of 11.8% annually. On the export front, Brunei's juice industry also faced a downturn. In 2018, juice exports were valued at close to $5,060, a 19.6% drop from the $6,290 recorded in 2017. The long-term outlook for Brunei's juice exports has been bleak. Since 2002, the supply has plummeted by a staggering 71.7% on a year-to-year basis.
