Chilean imports of gelatin are set to reach 4.3 million kilograms by 2026, an increase of 2.2% per year on average since 2021. That year, Chile placed 22nd in the global ranking, behind Peru with 3.7 million kilograms. Germany, the United Kingdom and Belgium occupied the top three spots. In 2019, Chile's exports of gelatin amounted to 1,200 kilograms, a rise of 102% on the previous year. Since 1996, however, Chilean supplies have declined 38% on an annual basis. That year, the country ranked 68th, behind Morocco with 1,200 kilograms. Germany, Belgium and China came in second, third and fourth, respectively.
