Botswana's home appliance exports plummeted 68 percent in 2021 to 1,180 dollars, a steep decrease from 3,690 dollars in 2020. Since 2005, the supply has dropped by more than half. Botswana came in 116th place in 2021, while Swaziland took the lead with 1,180 dollars. Germany, Malaysia and the United States followed in second, third and fourth. Meanwhile, imports of home appliances in Botswana are set to rise slightly to 1.26 million dollars by 2026 from 1.23 million dollars in 2021, an average increase of 0.3 percent each year. Since 2005, the demand has grown 2.9 percent each year. Botswana ranked 114th in 2021, with Cameroon surpassing at 1.23 million dollars. Germany, Japan and France followed in second, third and fourth place.
