This is up 1.7% per year on average since 2021, when the country had 2.6 million subscribers. Since 1980, demand for fixed lines in the UAE has grown 2.4% annually. In 2021, the UAE was ranked 48th in the world for fixed line subscribers. Serbia came in ahead of the UAE with 2.6 million subscribers. The US, Japan, and Germany rounded out the top four.
