Health expenditure in Algeria is on the rise. According to the latest figures, it is expected to reach $814 per person per year by 2026. This is an increase of 0.9% annually since 2021, when the figure stood at $771. In 2021, Algeria was ranked 94th in terms of health expenditure, with the Dominican Republic in the lead at $771 per person per year. The top three spots were occupied by Switzerland, Norway and Germany. Since 2005, Algerian health expenditure has grown by an average of 0.1% per year.
