Ireland is set to see a rise in health expenditure over the next five years. In 2021, the country spent an estimated $6,300 per person on healthcare. This figure is predicted to increase to around $7,000 by 2026, a rise of 1.7% each year. Since 2005, Irish health expenditure has grown at an average rate of 3.3% each year. In 2021, Ireland ranked ninth in terms of healthcare spending. Luxembourg topped the list with an expenditure of $6,300 per person, followed by Switzerland, Norway and Germany.
