Venezuela's health expenditure is set to drop significantly over the next five years. It was recorded at $317.5 purchasing power parity (PPP) per capita in 2021, but is expected to fall by 21.7% annually to reach $82.46 PPP per capita by 2026. This would be a sharp decline since 2005, where Venezuelan demand decreased by 11% year on year. In 2021, Venezuela ranked 130th in the world, after Indonesia overtook it with $317.5 PPP per capita. Switzerland, Norway and Germany were the world's highest-ranking countries in this respect, respectively coming in at 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.
