Vietnamese air passenger traffic is set to reach 43 million by 2026, a rise of 2.2% year-on-year. Since 1975, demand has decreased by 4.3% each year. In 2021, Vietnam was ranked 17th in the world, overtaken by Thailand, who had 30 million passengers. The United States, India and Ireland were the top three countries in the ranking.
