Ghana's metal import is on the rise. It is projected to hit 1.95 million metric tons by 2026. This is a 2.2% increase from the 1.71 million metric tons recorded in 2021. Since 1975, demand has grown by an average of 3.5% year on year. In 2021, the country was ranked 80th in terms of metal import. Nepal was ahead of Ghana at 1.71 million metric tons. Japan, South Korea, and Germany followed in second, third, and fourth place respectively.
