Mauritanian Metal Imports are on the rise. By 2026, they are set to reach 0.37 million metric tons, representing a 2.7% year-on-year growth since 2021. This is even more impressive when considering that since 2000, the country's demand has increased by an average of 4.2% every year. In 2021, Mauritania ranked 116th in the world in terms of metal imports. Fijian imports outpaced Mauritania with 0.31 million metric tons. Japan, South Korea and Germany followed, taking the second, third and fourth places respectively.
