Vietnamese metal imports are on the rise. In 2021, the country reached 23.59 million metric tons, and is projected to hit 27.5 million by 2026. This represents an average annual growth rate of 2.6 percent since 2005. Thailand overtook Vietnam in 2021, reaching 23.59 metric tons. Japan, South Korea and Germany came in second, third and fourth, respectively.
