Venezuelan metal imports plummeted 92% in 2021 compared to 2020, dropping to just 0.01 million metric tons. This marks the lowest level since 1975, when the country's demand was 57.4% lower than it is today. Venezuela came in at number 140 on the list of metal imports this year, with Madagascar ahead at 0.01 million metric tons. Japan, South Korea and Germany rounded out the top four.
