Demand for metal imports in Lebanon is expected to reach 2.4 million metric tons by 2026, up 1.7% per year on average from 2021. Since 1977, the country has seen an average yearly increase of 2.7%. In 2021, Lebanon placed 72nd in the global ranking of metal imports, with Ecuador overtaking it at 2.2 million metric tons. Japan, South Korea and Germany placed second, third and fourth respectively.
