Since 1975, Sweden's renewable energy supply has seen a notable rise, averaging an annual growth of 9.5%. In the 2023 rankings, Sweden secured the seventh position in renewable energy generation. This was just behind the Netherlands, which reported a generation of 46 TWh. Other leading nations in the renewable energy sector include the United Kingdom, Spain, and France, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. These countries continue to be front-runners in expanding their renewable energy capacities.
