Britain is set to see a decrease in both imports and exports of iron. Exports are projected to fall by 0.9% year on year, with a decrease of 0.6% since 2005. Belgium overtook the country in 2021, with 12,420 thousand metric tons. Sweden, France and Italy ranked numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively. Imports are also set to fall, by 2.6% year on year and 2.5% since 2005. Britain was overtaken by Poland in 2021, with 14,870 thousand metric tons. Italy, France and the Netherlands were numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
