In 2021, Bulgaria was the 21st largest importer of iron, with Denmark leading the way at 2.4 million metric tons. Italy, France and the Netherlands ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Bulgaria's iron exports are projected to drop by 0.2% CAGR, reaching 1.8 million metric tons by 2026. Since 2005, supply of iron has grown by 3% annually. In 2021, the country was the 20th largest exporter, with Luxembourg in the lead at 1.8 million metric tons. Sweden, France and Italy ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
