In 2021, Estonia was the 30th biggest importer of iron, behind Ireland at 976 thousand metric tons. Italy, France and the Netherlands were second, third and fourth in the ranking. Meanwhile, exports of iron from Estonia are forecast to decline 0.5% annually over the same period, reaching 613 thousand metric tons in 2026. Since 2005, supply has gone up 3.2% annually. In 2021, Estonia was the 30th biggest exporter, behind Macedonia at 632 thousand metric tons. Sweden, France and Italy were second, third and fourth in the ranking.
