Australia is set to become an increasingly important player in the global aircraft parts industry. Export of aircraft parts from the country is forecast to reach $1.7 billion by 2026, increasing at an average 2.5% year-on-year from 2021. This growth rate is higher than the 4.5% average seen since 1993. In 2021, Australia ranked 17th in terms of aircraft parts export, with the Netherlands coming in first with $1.4 billion. Germany, Singapore and France followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Australia's aircraft parts import also saw an increase of 2% in 2018, reaching $677 million. This was up from $664 million the year before.
