Since 1975, the country’s demand has increased by an average of 0.1% per year. In 2021, it was ranked 30th in the global ranking of bioenergy consumption, overtaken by Poland at 153.09 million metric tons. India, Brazil and the United States occupied the second, third and fourth positions in the ranking, respectively.
