Mongolian bioenergy consumption is predicted to reach almost 27 million metric tons by 2026. It was 24.6 million metric tons in 2021, growing at an annual rate of 1.6%. Since 1975, Mongolian demand has increased at a rate of 3.2% a year. In 2021, the country was ranked 96th, with Papua New Guinea in first place at 24.6 million metric tons. India, Brazil and the United States took second, third and fourth place respectively.
