Zimbabwe is set to increase its bioenergy consumption by an average of 0.8% year on year until 2026. In 2021, the country was 82nd in the world with 35.8 million metric tons of bioenergy consumed. This was slightly below Chad, which came in 81st with 37.1 million metric tons. India, Brazil, and the United States were the top three consumers of bioenergy in 2021, respectively. Since 1975, Zimbabwe has seen an average year on year growth of 1.7% in its bioenergy consumption.
