Currently, the country is ranked 59th in the world, with Madagascar coming in at 58th with 56.26 million metric tons. India, Brazil and the United States come in at second, third and fourth, respectively. Since 1975, Zambia's demand for bioenergy has grown at an average rate of 4% each year.
