Namibian bioenergy consumption is predicted to remain largely unchanged between 2021 and 2026. Last year, the country was the 128th largest consumer of bioenergy, with 8.36 million metric tons. This figure is expected to remain consistent through 2026. In comparison, Panama is expected to consume 8.36 million metric tons of bioenergy in 2021, overtaking Namibia. India, Brazil and the United States are the top three consumers in the world, respectively. Since 1975, Namibia's bioenergy consumption has increased by 0.6% each year on average. In the next five years, however, this trend is expected to remain flat.
