Liberia is set to increase its consumption of bioenergy by a year-on-year rate of 1.3% between 2021 and 2026. The nation, which was ranked 125th in 2021, is projected to reach 11.71 million metric tons of bioenergy consumption by 2026. Since 1975, demand for bioenergy in Liberia has grown at a rate of 2.6% each year. In 2021, Liberia was outranked by Jordan, with the latter consuming 10.97 million metric tons of bioenergy that year. India, Brazil and the US were the second, third and fourth biggest consumers of bioenergy in 2021.
