Vietnam's bioenergy consumption is projected to rise by 1.5% year-on-year from 2021 to 2026. This growth rate is slightly higher than the 2.9% year-on-year increase recorded since 1975. In 2021, Vietnam came in at 16th place in terms of bioenergy consumption, with 262.77 million metric tons. Germany overtook the country, with 283.86 million metric tons. India, Brazil and the United States placed second, third and fourth, respectively.
