Hungarian bioenergy consumption is expected to reach 42.33 million metric tons by 2026. This represents an annual growth rate of 1%, which is higher than the 0.5% rate seen since 2000. In 2021, Hungary's consumption of bioenergy ranked 76th globally, with Finland ahead at 40.5 million metric tons. India, Brazil and the United States were the top three countries in the ranking, with consumption figures of 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
