In 2021, the United Arab Emirates ranked 106th globally in terms of bioenergy consumption, with 20.53 million metric tons. This was barely enough to keep up with Costa Rica, which just overtook the country in the same year. India, Brazil, and the United States came in second, third, and fourth, respectively.
