Bioenergy consumption in Belarus is set to increase by an average of 1.3% year on year, reaching 84 million metric tons by 2026. This marks an increase of 2.6% since 1997. In 2021, Belarus ranked 46th in the world for bioenergy consumption, with 79 million metric tons. Romania overtook Belarus to rank 45th, while India, Brazil and the United States ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
