Tanzanian copper exports are set to surge by around $24 million over the next five years, with a CAGR of 4.4%. In 2021, the country exported $80 million worth of copper - 76.8% higher than in 2002. Tanzania ranked 62nd in the world, behind Lebanon which exported $80 million. Germany, the U.S. and Japan were the top three in this ranking. Meanwhile, Tanzanian copper imports are expected to increase by nearly $1 million over the same period, with a CAGR of 0.8%. In 2021, the country imported $20 million worth of copper, representing a 4% increase compared to 2000. Tanzania placed 89th in the world, behind Myanmar which imported $20 million. Germany, the U.S. and Italy came in first, second, and third respectively.
