Norwegian copper exports are predicted to drop to $253 million by 2026, from $275 million in 2021. This represents a 1.4% decrease from the average year-on-year rate since 1998. In 2021, Norway was the 44th biggest exporter of copper, with Hungary in the lead at $275 million. Germany, the United States, and Japan held the second, third and fourth spots, respectively. Meanwhile, copper imports to Norway are set to rise to $440 million by 2026, up from $412 million in 2021. This amounts to a 1.1% increase compared to the average year-on-year rate since 1998, when the demand for the metal rose 6.3%. In 2021, South Africa was the main exporter to Norway, followed by Germany, the United States, and Italy.
