Spanish copper exports are projected to reach around $4.2 billion by 2026, a 1.9% average annual increase. This is up from the $3.7 billion recorded in 2021, when the country ranked 11th. Poland was the leader with $3.7 billion, while Germany, the United States and Japan came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Spanish copper imports are estimated to reach $2.3 billion by 2026, up 1.4% year on year. This is an increase from the 2021 figure of $2.1 billion, which put the country in 16th place. The Netherlands led with $2.1 billion, followed by Germany, the United States and Italy respectively. Since 1994, Spanish demand for copper has grown 8.4% on average annually.
