Exports of copper from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are forecast to reach $3.5 billion by 2026. This is an increase of 2.5% on the 2021 figure of $3 billion. Since 2012, the UAE's copper exports have grown 18% year-on-year. In 2021, it ranked 16th in the world, with Malaysia ahead at $3 billion. Germany, the US and Japan took second, third and fourth place in the ranking. Imports of copper into the UAE are anticipated to reach $2.8 billion by 2026. This is a slight decrease of 0.6% from the 2021 figure of $2.9 billion. Since 2012, the country's copper imports have grown 6.1% year-on-year. In 2021, the UAE ranked 13th in the world. Mexico took first place at $2.9 billion, followed by Germany, the US and Italy.
