Exports of vanadium from the UK plummeted 92.3% in 2018, with 125.68 kilograms shipped compared to 1,640 kilograms the year before. This is the lowest level since 1998 and puts the UK at number 20 in the global ranking. Switzerland overtook the UK with 125.68 kilograms exported. Russia, China and South Africa followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Imports of vanadium to the UK skyrocketed 7,670%, with 3,030 kilograms arriving in 2018 compared to just 39 kilograms in 2017. This is a 53.4% increase since 1998 and puts the UK at number 33 in the global ranking. Algeria overtook the UK with 3,030 kilograms imported. South Korea, the US and India followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
