Uganda's glass imports are projected to reach $32.9 million by 2026, increasing at an average yearly rate of 1.9%. This is up from $29.3 million in 2021 when the country ranked 102nd in the world. Zimbabwe held the 101st spot, with glass imports amounting to $29.3 million, while China, Germany and France placed second, third and fourth, respectively. Uganda's glass exports dropped significantly in 2018, falling to $557,750 from $1.5 million in 2017, a decrease of 63.9%. Over the past two decades, the country has seen a steady decline in its glass supply, with a year-on-year decrease of 46.9%.
