Canada's glass exports are expected to drop slightly this year, falling by 0.6% to around $550 million. This continues a downward trend that has been in place since 1994, with exports decreasing by 1.5% each year on average. In 2021, Canada was the 24th largest exporter of glass, with the United Arab Emirates overtaking it at $569 million. Germany, the United States and France followed in second, third and fourth place. Meanwhile, glass imports into Canada are projected to grow this year, increasing by 0.9% to $2.8 billion. This follows a 0.6% annual increase since 1994. In 2021, France was the top importer of glass into Canada at $2.6 billion. China, Germany and France followed in second, third and fourth place.
