Korean glass imports are expected to drop by 0.5% to $2.19 billion by 2026, down from $2.26 billion in 2021. This decline follows a 0.7% year-on-year decrease since 1993. In 2021, Japan held the lead in imports with $2.26 billion, followed by China, Germany and France in that order. Exports of glass from Korea, meanwhile, are set to rise at a 2.7% average year-on-year rate to $2.32 billion by 2026, up from $1.98 billion in 2021. Since 1993, Korean glass exports have grown 5.2% annually. In 2021, Belgium occupied the top spot in exports with $1.98 billion, followed by Germany, the United States and France.
