Irish glass import and export is set to change significantly over the next five years. Import is predicted to grow by around 1.4% year on year and reach nearly $375 million by 2026. This is an increase from the $344 million reported in 2021, when Ireland ranked 36th in the world for glass imports. China, Germany and France respectively were numbers 2, 3 and 4 in this ranking. Export growth is expected to be much slower, with a predicted 2.8% year on year fall to $94 million by 2026. This is down from the $111 million reported in 2021, when Ireland ranked 50th in the world for glass exports. Germany, the United States and France respectively were numbers 2, 3 and 4 in this ranking.
