Greek Electric Vehicle (EV) registrations are projected to nearly double by 2028, climbing from approximately 7,000 units in 2023 to around 14,700 units. This forecasted growth signifies an average annual increase of 11.5%. Since 2019, the Greek EV market has experienced a remarkable surge, expanding by 87.6% year on year. Despite this rapid growth, Greece ranked 19th in EV registrations in 2023. In comparison, Ireland surpassed Greece with an equivalent of around 7,000 units. Leading the charge in EV registrations were Sweden, Italy, and the Netherlands, securing the second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
