On another front, Dutch food sales are set to reach nearly €88 billion by 2028, up from around €79 billion in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of 1.6%. Since 2010, the Dutch food market has expanded by 2.4% annually. In 2023, the Netherlands ranked 6th in food sales, with the United Kingdom surpassing it with sales also around €79 billion. Topping the chart were France, Italy, and Spain, holding the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th positions respectively.
